This Drimiopsis kirkii, commonly known as the Giant Squill, is a unique and hardy bulbous plant known for its thick, spotted foliage and compact, clumping growth habit. Its leaves are beautifully speckled with dark green spots, and over time, it produces charming, pale greenish-white flower spikes. A great addition for collectors who appreciate texture and unusual patterns, this plant is well-suited for both indoor and patio environments. It’s a resilient, low-maintenance option that adds a striking visual element to any plant collection.

Care Instructions
Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate some direct morning sun. Too little light may reduce the intensity of leaf spotting.
Water: Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Water sparingly during its dormant period, as overwatering can cause bulb rot.
Humidity: Tolerates average indoor humidity well.
Temperature: Best kept in a range of 60–85°F (16–29°C). Protect from frost and avoid exposure to temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
Pro Tip: Allow the plant to rest during its natural dormant season by reducing watering and placing it in a slightly cooler, bright spot.
