The retusus is a striking and slow-growing cactus species, cherished for its sculptural form and distinctive triangular tubercles that resemble carved stone. Native to the limestone hills of northeastern Mexico, this rare and ancient plant develops a low, flattened rosette with subtle geometric beauty. When mature, it produces beautiful pink to white flowers, offering a stunning contrast against its gray-green skin. Its unique appearance and resilient nature make it a prized gem in any serious succulent or cactus collection.

Care Instructions
Light: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight. Can tolerate full sun but should be acclimated slowly to prevent scorching.
Water: Allow soil to dry thoroughly between waterings. Water sparingly, especially during dormancy. Overwatering is the most common cause of decline.
Humidity: Thrives in dry environments. Avoid high humidity and ensure excellent airflow around the plant.
Temperature: Ideal temperature range is 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from frost and do not expose to temperatures below 50°F (10°C).

💡 Pro Tip: Retusus grows slowly and prefers to be left undisturbed. Use a gritty, well-draining cactus mix and water only when the roots have fully dried. Be patient—this plant rewards those who wait.
